Is the iPad the Future of Online Gaming?
With the iPad due to hit the shops on April 3rd the race is on to create gambling apps ready for its launch.
21 Online Casinos claims that developers are rushing to get their applications finished by the March 27th deadline because any submissions accepted before the deadline will be available when the new tablet is debuted.
However, the developers face a real challenge as not only will the new iPad support new apps it will also support most of the 150,000 already available to iPhone users as the iPad is an enlarged version of the iPhone.
But 21 Online Casinos believes that tablet PCs provide a real opportunity for online gaming sites as the tablet PCs provide a more comfortable and realistic experience. They are easier to see and read than a mobile phone but more portable than a traditional laptop.
21 Online Casinos claim that:
"The truly exciting thing about the iPad is the potential for more interactive online casino games. For instance, players can actually push the buttons on the slot machines themselves or rub the screen to play scratchcards. The format would allow players to interact with games in the same way they would at an actual casino and would also allow for a more user friendly gaming experience."
They believe that the tablet format provides endless opportunities for innovative and interactive games and the hope is that a new generation of players will be attracted to online casinos as a result.
The only downside is because the iPad will still run on the Apple operating system users still won't be able to use download only casinos, they can still use the browser based versions. 21 Online Casinos predict that if the iPad grows in popularity casino owners could be forced to create downloadable Mac friendly casinos. The growth of the Mac has already led to better browser based offerings and with new apps there should be plenty of options for online casino users.
